It's fantastic to know that people are invested in not only the general welfare of the community, but with Baptist's mission as well. So the fact that they want to contribute as much as they have to get us to a point to where we need to be in a community and have a healthy community is fantastic.

The Hamburg community is rapidly growing. So the emergency department placed out here is not only serving the local community, but also serving some outside counties as a quick access to quick and efficient emergency care. So we are that central point as a beacon basically, and we're seeing a lot of different demographics from different communities come here to the emergency department to get that emergency care and not have to venture farther into Lexington. Philanthropy has given us the ability to keep our community up to date in not only having some of the best equipment, but also just a beautiful facility to walk into and feel clean, comfortable, and safe. For all the donors that have contributed to the development of Baptist Health Hamburg and watched it come to fruition is really heartwarming.
Matt Davis, RN, Director of Emergency Services, discusses how community support and philanthropy have established Baptist Health Hamburg as a vital "beacon" for emergency care. He highlights how the facility serves the rapidly growing Hamburg area and surrounding counties, providing high-quality equipment and a safe environment that allows patients to receive efficient treatment closer to home.
