Here at Baptist Health Lexington Mother Baby, we take a lot of pride in the services that we provide to our mothers. That being the care after their delivery, the knowledge and education that we were providing them to go home with this new little bundle of joy, and really encouraging them that they can do this. Some of these moms struggle right after having a baby, but we are determined to let them know that they can do this.
Philanthropy has supported our work in many different ways. That being through many generous donations that directly affect each and every single patient that comes into our care. We have received donations of brand new NARA bassinets, which not only are great for our little ones, but they really help our mom in her recovery period because these cribs have lots of features to be able to safely pick their little ones up out of the crib. They have also been very generous and have donated quite a lot of breastfeeding supplies to us, that being breastfeeding pumps, breast friend pillows, which help with latch positioning, a breast milk warmer, and two designated breast milk fridges.
By having all these supplies, it has really helped us in being able to promote our breastfeeding with our moms. It really makes them feel encouraged that they can do this once they go home. It's great to know that the community is invested in our work. We take a lot of pride of the work and the families that we care for here on Mother Baby at Baptist Health Lexington, and to know that they are as committed to us as we are to them is a very heartwarming feeling.
I would like to tell the donors to the Foundation, thank you. Thank you so much for your generosity. It is because of you all that we are able to have this excellent patient care and each and every mom and baby that steps into our unit has a great experience and is able to go home with the knowledge and skills they need to start their lives as a new family.
