We know that when our nurses have additional education and, professional development that they have, ways that they can learn about new skills, new practices that really impact our bedside patient care. They actually can provide better care because they learn about new ways to do things in a much more effective way. Nursing is the backbone of health care, and supporting our nurses is so important. In order for us to continue that pipeline of of really qualified nurses, it's important to support the nurses that we have today and those nurses in the future. The the care that we provide is is paramount.
And so having our nurses being community members is also very important. So the care that they provide is sometimes providing the care to their family and their neighbors, the folks they go to church with. And so our nurses are part of the community, and their wellness impacts the wellness overall.
Recently, our nurses went to a pathway to excellence conference. There were fourteen nurses that the foundation sponsored. They sponsored their conference fees, their travel expenses, as well as, you know, food and lodging. Out of those fourteen nurses, only two had ever been to a national conference. So twelve of those nurses had never been exposed to the networking, the education, the new ideas and innovation. And so being able to provide that for our nurses really gives them a whole new perspective on patient care and and quality.
We are so blessed to have such generous donors, and I really appreciate their willingness to support nursing, to support new ideas, new innovation, equipment, education, all the things that the the donations support for our nurses. It makes us better nurses. It makes us a better hospital, and it makes us a better community.
