Our emergency department really is the front door of our hospital. We provide twenty four seven access to emergency care. Annually, we see about sixty thousand patients in our emergency department here at Baptist Health Corbin. The new emergency department will feature additional treatment rooms which will allow us to expand capacity.

It will also have a state of the art CT scanner that will be dedicated inside of the emergency department. Philanthropy plays a role by allowing us to advance these projects. So going beyond just the project itself, but allowing us to provide patient centered technology that can advance our mission in patient care. Through donors, we're able to provide additional technology and services within our department. Baptist Health is providing this opportunity to expand our emergency department and donor support will allow us to provide more patient centered focus.

We appreciate the collaboration allowing us to provide patient centered care not only for our families but for yours as well.
The Emergency Department at Baptist Health Corbin serves as the hospital’s front door, providing 24/7 emergency care to nearly 60,000 patients each year. In this video, Heather Napier, MSN, Executive Director of Quality Resources and Nursing Operations, shares how a new, expanded Emergency Department will increase capacity with additional treatment rooms and a dedicated, state-of-the-art CT scanner.
