"For me, Baptist Health Corbin has been a lifelong cornerstone," Meghann shares. "I've seen firsthand how our foundation's initiatives transcend healthcare—they enrich lives, empower communities and create lasting change."

During her tenure leading the local foundation, Meghann witnessed the tangible results of collective efforts within the healthcare system. These efforts extended far beyond mere upgrades in equipment and facilities; they touched the lives of patients during their most vulnerable moments. "With the generous support of community partners, our foundation breaks down barriers to care, driving meaningful change and meeting diverse community needs," she emphasizes.

Meghann’s dedication became even more personal when her father faced a cancer diagnosis, reinforcing the significance of her family’s first choice for healthcare during a time of fear and uncertainty. Stepping back from her role as director of philanthropy, Meghann transitioned to a position on the board of directors, where she continues to advocate for positive change in Corbin and the surrounding areas.

"In my role as director of philanthropy, we had numerous projects underway," Meghann notes. "Now, under Ryan Yother's leadership and with the incredible generosity of our community, these initiatives are coming to fruition. These enhancements not only improve patient access but also address critical community needs proactively. Amid rising behavioral health challenges and the demands on our emergency department, along with advancements in oncological services, the Corbin Tower project stands as a beacon of hope and progress."
