New services create better patient care
“We’re family taking care of family.” That’s how Nathan Wilson describes his role as vice president and chief nursing officer at Baptist Health La Grange.
Nathan is especially excited about the ways Baptist Health is partnering with the community and moving together toward important new initiatives. Through education, communication and innovation, Baptist Health is able to impact the health of entire communities.
One initiative Nathan is eager to celebrate is an expanded service at Baptist Health La Grange. Soon, La Grange will add a behavioral health facility to its current care practices. There’s a strong connection between emotional and physical health, and the new facility will give the community access to inpatient and outpatient mental health services with a commitment to exemplary patient care.
“Any kind of win is one person better,” Nathan said. “We want to be a support for folks who didn’t even know they were seeking healthcare.” He sees the new behavioral health facility as a crucial role in caring for the overall well-being of the city he has called home for decades.
With new initiatives and old-fashioned patient care, Nathan is hopeful about the future at Baptist Health. “I’m just excited for the opportunities ahead of us. So much growth is happening, which is giving us ways to better serve our communities.”
