Investing in the evolution of healthcare

When Daniel Jones partnered with Staci Overby to open Strawberry Hills Pharmacy, he did so after identifying a lack of options within the community he calls home, but with a vision to give the people of western Kentucky access to advanced pharmaceutical care.

As a member of Baptist Health Paducah board of directors, Daniel is dedicated to expanding the health of his customers beyond the walls of his business, and working to ensure they have high-quality healthcare to meet their every need available locally.

“The collaborative effort between the pharmacy and Baptist Health Paducah made sense,” he said. “Both parties are dedicated to improving the health of individuals and our entire community. Through this work, I have recognized our mission aligns on so much more than just that. At Strawberry Hills Pharmacy, we are focused on using advanced technology to customize medication to each person so that they get exactly what they need for their body. At Baptist Health, they are focused on the evolution of healthcare through technology, equipment, facilities and specialized training to improve results, streamline procedures, reduce recovery and better help each and every one of us.”

Through his business and personal experiences at Baptist Health, Daniel has come to consider many of the physicians and staff at the local hospital to be friends.

“It’s really a full circle experience to be able to be involved and give back,” he said. “My involvement allows me to not only further help those who I built a business to serve, but it allows me to act on my faith. The Bible teaches us Jesus came to serve, not to be served. Through my actions, I am hopeful to live out my life in a way that pays tribute to the principles that are instilled in me through my beliefs. It’s a motto that I strive to exemplify, and that I want to share with others.”

Daniel recognizes that Baptist Health Paducah is the largest employer in McCracken County, and through that drives economic growth that helps the region to flourish. “Baptist Health puts food on the table for thousands of employees, while it also ensures the health and wellbeing of even more. It’s a resource we are blessed to have within our own backyard, and if through my support, it can continue to benefit those all around me, that’s a worthwhile investment.”
