Donor generosity provides better surgical outcomes

Baptist Health Paducah is committed to improving the health and well-being of our patients and the community we serve. This unwavering mission is rooted in philanthropy, and it’s reflected in the generous support of donors like you.

Thanks to your support, a Trumpf surgical table was purchased to support the growth of our robotic surgery program, allowing both robotic rooms to have a table capable of being used by all specialties.

With the rise in robotic surgery volumes and the potential for growth associated with this service line, Baptist Heath Paducah was able to secure access to a second da Vinci® robot to use with the Trumpf surgical table, which is designed to function in tandem with it. The new equipment will allow a patient to be dynamically positioned while a surgeon operates using gravity to expose anatomy, maximize reach, and position tissue at an ideal working angle.

“Robotic surgeries provide several benefits to our patients, including reduced length of stay, a less-invasive procedure, faster healing time and increased satisfaction. Through this investment, we are not only able to more effectively use our operating rooms to provide high-quality care to our patients, we are able to detect potentially unsafe positioning, raise productivity, and deliver enhanced efficiency to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.”
