A culture rooted in generosity
Through the birth of her two children and 15 years of service, Pam Jones developed an appreciation for the significance of access to local, quality medical care. As an employee, Pam has a front row seat to the countless lives being touched by Baptist Health Corbin and the role Baptist Health Foundation Corbin plays in meeting the growing needs of the community.
“It isn’t ordinary for employees who work to earn a living to take money out of their check to directly reinvest in their place of business,” she said. “That is the difference at Baptist Health. As employees, we believe in what we are doing, and we want to be part of the change that helps those throughout our community. Whether that is through helping update equipment or supporting a patient in need, we have created a culture that rallies around one another and is passionate about making a positive impact on our patients.”
As part of the Corbin community since 1986, Pam recognizes that Baptist Health has been taking care of her grandparents, parents, children, neighbors and friends for many years, and she wants to ensure local healthcare stands the test of time.
“Baptist Health Corbin cares about families. In fact, we are a big family, and our patients are an extension of that. You will always find compassionate care here. We want to meet the needs being presented to us throughout our regional area, and to do that, we need to grow. In order to grow, we need to support. We can’t count on someone else to be the reason that support is made available, it takes all of us. When we come together to combine our resources, the affect we are going to have on the future of healthcare is astounding. The impact being made right now by those giving generously to benefit others will not only ripple across our community, but it will also ripple across generations.”
