National Grateful Patient Day

August 14, 2025
Think back to a moment when you were scared, uncertain, or in pain. Was it your doctor who patiently explained the news you didn’t want to hear? A nurse who held your hand, offered words of comfort, or simply sat with you when you felt alone? Or perhaps a staff member whose kindness reminded you that you were more than just a patient?

These moments, small or big, can change everything. September 7th is National Grateful Patient Day, and Baptist Health Foundation invites you to honor those who made a difference in your life through our Honor a Caregiver program.

Many patients ask how to truly thank someone who has touched their life in a meaningful way. This program gives you the chance to express your gratitude by making a contribution in the name of the caregiver who went above and beyond.

Honored caregivers receive special recognition and meaningful mementos to commemorate their extraordinary commitment, reminding them that their compassion, professionalism, and humanity do not go unnoticed.

Take a moment this National Grateful Patient Day to express your gratitude. A simple acknowledgment can leave a lasting impact on those who have dedicated themselves to your care.
