Quality healthcare close to home
Angela Ballard, APRN, was born and raised in Bardstown, and she’s lived in the quaint Kentucky town most of her life. In fact, the nurse practitioner has spent the better part of four decades working at the same family medical practice where her mother previously worked.
“Healthcare is an important basic need, and we are here to offer that,” Angela says of her practice, Baptist Health Medical Group Family Medicine. “We’re doing a good job, and I’m proud to be a part of that for our community.”
In recent years, Baptist Health has invested millions in a healthcare system that provides central Kentuckians with high-quality care that’s close to home. This includes an integrated system of providers — like Angela’s practice — along with Baptist Health Hardin, a 300-bed hospital serving 10 counties.
“We need a small-town hospital and community healthcare, but it’s nice to be a part of a larger system that offers care we don’t have here,” says Angela, who supports the Baptist Health mission not only as a healthcare provider, but as a board member for Baptist Health Foundation Hardin.
“I want my support to further the mission of providing good care to our community,” says Angela, whose commitment to healthcare runs in the family. “My mother inspired me to be a nurse and work for this family medical center. I’ve carried that tradition on through, as two of my daughters are now nurse practitioners.”
Angela is driven by a desire to help people — a core principle shared by Baptist Health.
