Why are you volunteering your time on the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin Board? As professionals in the healthcare field, the community has given so much to my husband and I, and I see my role on the board as a way to give back. We feel blessed to be part of this wonderful community and giving back through the board is very, very satisfying.
Why is it important for you to give your time, both through the Foundation Board and through your work with the Central Kentucky Community Foundation? My family is invested in this community. My husband and I raised our children in this community and we have no intention of leaving. Investing my time toward crucial organizations such as the Foundation Board equates to an investment in the future of our great community.
What does gratitude mean to you and what are you grateful for? Personally, I’m grateful for my health, happiness and family. I’m also grateful for the healthcare in our community. If I or a member of my family were in need of medical assistance, I would rely on the quality physicians, nurses and physician assistants in the Baptist Health Hardin network. I wouldn’t feel the need to travel outside of the community for the care that is afforded to us right here.
