Why do you volunteer in the community? I volunteer because during my 42 years with Baptist Health I was fortunate and honored to have so many outstanding individuals serve as volunteer board members, committee members, and so many other individuals who found ways to support our hospital. Now is my opportunity to serve as a volunteer just as they did.
How does healthcare support a thriving community? The Greater Louisville area is blessed with outstanding healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals providing excellent care. Many organizations looking at locations look at the quality and quantity of healthcare. It allows Louisville to serve as a hub for outstanding community health.
Today, who or what are you most grateful for? Today, I am most grateful for having the Baptist Cancer Team caring for my husband. The oncologists, Dr. Bhupalam and Dr. Joseph, the infusion team, schedulers, lab staff and ambulatory team have all worked together for over four years. We are so fortunate to have this level of care in our community.
