Why do you volunteer in the community? I volunteer to contribute to my community through service opportunities, especially in a healthcare environment.

What is the role that healthcare has played in your life or the lives of your family, friends or neighbors? Many of my family members were or are in the healthcare field. Those family members have worked as RNs, X-ray technicians, dentists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. These influences are evidenced by me having been an RN for 56 years.

Today, who or what are you most grateful for? I am most grateful to God for everything that I am that allows me to be of service to others, particularly in a healthcare setting. For me, being grateful has helped me to have an attitude of gratitude, which allows me to bless others through acts of service.
