Quality healing in your own backyard
Bob Dwyer has always been a man on the go – running his family’s kennel business, working at Kirchhoff’s deli in downtown Paducah, and volunteering at local nursing homes with his therapy dog, Joey.
So, when he suddenly felt too tired to cut the grass, he knew something was wrong. Bob was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that had wrapped around his entire prostate, bladder and intestines. It would require complex treatment, which he sought at Baptist Health Paducah.
“There’s a misconception that because we live in a small community, that we should run to Nashville to get our healthcare. The caregiving I’ve received at Baptist Health Paducah is beyond any I’ve ever received in my life,” says Bob. “There’s a healing quality to being in your own backyard.”
