How was volunteerism encouraged in your family or community? I think there is significant room for growth in this area for both my community and my family.

How does healthcare support a thriving community? Healthcare is a critical component for a thriving community for a variety of reasons:
  • Ability to get appropriate care for citizens.
  • Participation in the community to enhance the overall viability of the community.
  • Prospective companies and residents want to know there is a strong healthcare system in place as that is a sign of community vitality.
  • Healthcare can serve as a source of expertise in times of needs (ex: medical issues in the community, pandemic responses, addressing mass accidents/injuries).
How can gratitude help heal you spiritually, physically and emotionally? Gratitude is something I have embraced since being on the board. The power of gratitude is grounding. It centers me when I don't feel like I have enough, am doing enough, or am not enough.
