When his heart rate escalated and his vision began to blur, Ronnie James knew he needed medical attention. After speaking with his primary caregiver, he found himself in the emergency department at Baptist Health Paducah just in time.
“I knew that something was not right, but I wasn’t expecting clinicians to have to use a defibrillator to reset my heart,” Ronnie said. “From the moment I entered the door, every employee I encountered was ready to serve and assist. The friendly, warm demeanor of staff was a source of comfort during one of the scariest moments of my life.”

As a member of Baptist Health Foundation Paducah and Baptist Health Paducah’s board of directors, Ronnie has played a role in helping Baptist Health Paducah become the healthcare provider it is today.
