Local business owner, Becky Chenault, first developed an appreciation for Baptist Health Richmond after giving birth to both of her daughters. Through the years, that admiration has grown due to joint projects between the organization and her family’s businesses, where she became more familiar with the hospital’s Christ-driven mission and philanthropic initiatives.

“Our community is constantly growing, evolving and changing,” she said. “To withstand change, you need a solid foundation, and that is what Baptist Health provides to us. Through Baptist Health Richmond, we have the opportunity to provide stability for families, create long-lasting jobs, increase access to care for our citizens, and generate revenue that ripples throughout our entire regional area.”

Becky believes the impact of Baptist Health Richmond extends to small businesses who are looking to gain their footing.

“My husband, Ed, and I have been married for 38 years, and together, we’ve broken into construction, property management, and opened Chenault Vineyards,” she said. “Support from places like Baptist Health is invaluable to us. Through their business, we have had the chance to create meaningful relationships with hospital employees and gain key insight as to the work that goes into ensuring friends, family and neighbors have quality care they deserve.”

As natives of Richmond, the Chenault family is invested in ongoing advancements in care.
